Subtraction Challenge Game

In maths today we used a boardgame to challenge our partner to a subtraction challenge! We rolled the dice and had to solve the calculation that we landed on. Our partner had to double check that we got it correct before we were allowed to take our next turn.

Calculation Hunt

Today we worked in twos or threes to go on a subtraction calculation hunt! We used an iPad to find and scan QR codes to reveal the calculation to solve. We then worked together to write the calculation and solve it using the methods we have been learning so far this week.

Fairground Maths

Today we had great fun in maths working out how many people went on a ride or stall during the fair time. We had to choose a slip out of the envelope that told us how many people went to that ride and then add up the running total.

Fun Maths

This week we have all been enjoying different fun activities in maths!

We have played hopscotch to help us count in 2s, 5s and 10s.

Also, we've used playdough to form numbers in the multiples of 2.

Some of us even got to use sweets to solve a place value reasoning challenge.
